About Me
Hello! I’m Sandy
Welcome to Interior Digest, a home and lifestyle space created to make decorating feel simpler, more practical, and more achievable.
I’m Sandy, the creator behind Interior Digest. I love finding realistic ways to make a home feel more organized, comfortable, and beautifully put together without believing that every room needs a complete renovation or an unlimited decorating budget.
Interior Digest is where I share practical decorating ideas, small home projects, DIYs, organization solutions, cleaning tips, and inspiration that you can actually use in your own home.
Creating a Home That Feels Like You
I believe a beautiful home is not about following every trend or making every corner look perfect.
It is about creating spaces that work for your everyday life.
Sometimes that means rearranging furniture in a narrow living room. Sometimes it means finding a better way to organize a bathroom, styling an overlooked corner, refreshing something you already own, or simply clearing away clutter and starting again.
Many of the projects you will find on Interior Digest begin with questions I have in my own home:
Can I make this space work better?
Can I improve this without replacing everything?
Is there a simpler way to organize this?
How can I make this corner feel more intentional?
Those questions often become the projects, tutorials, and decorating guides I share here.
What You’ll Find on Interior Digest
Interior Digest focuses on practical ideas for real homes, including:
Home Decorating
From living room layouts and kitchen styling to bathroom decor and overlooked spaces around the home, I share ideas designed to help you make thoughtful decorating decisions.
Rather than simply showing a beautiful room, my goal is to explain why an idea works and how you can adapt it to your own space.
Small-Space Ideas
You do not need a huge home to create a space you love.
Interior Digest includes ideas for narrow living rooms, compact bathrooms, small kitchens, apartment-friendly spaces, awkward corners, and other areas where every inch needs to work a little harder.
DIY Projects
Some of my favorite home updates are the simplest ones.
I share approachable DIY projects, furniture and decor refreshes, styling projects, and small changes that can make an existing space feel completely different.
Whenever I document a project from my own home, I aim to show the process honestly: what I started with, what I changed, what I used, and what the finished result looked like.
Home Organization and Cleaning
Decorating and organization often go hand in hand.
A beautifully styled room is much easier to enjoy when it also functions well, which is why you will also find practical organization ideas, cleaning guides, home resets, storage solutions, and simple routines for maintaining your space.
A Practical Approach to Home Inspiration
There is already plenty of beautiful home inspiration online.
Interior Digest aims to go a step further.
When I share an idea, I want you to leave knowing more than simply “That looks nice.”
I want you to understand:
- why the arrangement works;
- what you could change in your own room;
- what mistakes to avoid;
- how to work with the space and items you already have; and
- when a particular decorating idea may not be practical.
Some articles are inspired by questions I am working through in my own home, while others explore common decorating and organization challenges that many homeowners and renters face.
My goal is always the same: to turn inspiration into useful information you can actually apply.
Real Homes Over Perfect Homes
Interior Digest is not about creating a picture-perfect house that never looks lived in.
Real homes have awkward layouts, limited storage, everyday clutter, mismatched finishes, things we cannot immediately replace, and spaces that evolve over time.
I think those realities make home decorating more interesting.
You can work with what you have.
You can improve your home gradually.
And sometimes a small change moving a piece of furniture, organizing one cabinet, repainting an old item, or restyling one surface can completely change how a room feels.
That is the kind of decorating I enjoy most.
How I Create Content
I want the information on Interior Digest to be genuinely helpful, so I focus on creating content with clear explanations, practical takeaways, and realistic applications.
For projects completed in my own home, I document the process and share what I learned along the way.
For decorating and design guidance, I focus on helping you understand the principles behind the ideas so you can make decisions that suit your home, available space, budget, and personal style.
I also regularly review and update older articles as Interior Digest grows so that the information remains useful, relevant, and easy to follow.
My Goal for Interior Digest
My goal is simple:
To help you create a home that looks beautiful, functions well, and feels personal, one realistic project at a time.
You do not have to transform your entire house at once.
Start with the room that bothers you most.
Or the cabinet that never stays organized.
Or the empty corner you have been ignoring.
Small changes add up.
I hope Interior Digest inspires you — and, more importantly, provides the practical guidance to make those changes confidently.
Thank you for being here and for allowing Interior Digest to be part of your home journey.
